Elizabeth (Liz) Marquardt (Of Counsel) has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2006 and a Certified Public Accountant (licensed in Connecticut) since 1995.  She received her Bachelors of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from Gettysburg College in 1991, her Master of Accountancy degree from Virginia Tech in 1992, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law in 2006. Her current practice focuses primarily on family law and commercial litigation matters, where her strong financial background and legal knowledge make her a powerful advocate for her clients.

With over 25 years of multinational corporate and non-profit experience including all aspects of financial reporting, planning and budgeting, litigation support, legal compliance, and risk management, as well as extensive experience in forensic accounting, Ms. Marquardt has assisted in-house and external counsel, matrimonial law attorneys, Boards of Directors, and corporate senior management with forensic accounting investigations throughout her career.

Ms. Marquardt has served in the role of Chief Financial Officer or Director to various corporate and non-profit entities, including AB Volvo, Alvarez & Marsal, Ferrell Law, LNR Partners (now owned by Starwood Property Trust), and the Miami Art Museum (now known as PAMM). She started her career with KPMG in Stamford, CT.

Ms. Marquardt is a member of the Florida Bar, ABA, AICPA, Dade County Bar Association, and is a licensed Community Association Manager (CAM) in Florida.  She is actively involved in various volunteer organizations and projects, particularly for assisting low income, homeless, elderly, and disabled clients with tax preparation, and advocating for youth alcohol and drug prevention programs.
